Students Raise $1272.00 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Recently, the students of St. Charles School collected “Pennies for Patients” to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  After three weeks of students bringing in their spare change to school, the total amount collected was $1272.00!

The top fundraising class was Ms. Przytula’sfourth grade class which raised $250.51. Ms. Przytula’s class won a pasta luncheon from the Olive Garden, which is awarded to the top contributing class.

An estimated 785,829 Americans have a blood cancer, and every five minutes, someone new is diagnosed. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

We are proud of the students of St. Charles School for supporting such an important cause!
