St. Charles School Students Awarded Top Honor

St. Charles School students Zoe Karoub and Mag-Guyda Chery have been named Peter Lynch Scholars by the Catholic Schools Foundation (CSF). On October 20th, Séan Cardinal O’Malley, Archbishop of Boston, inducted the sixth class of Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars. Each Catholic elementary school selects their PL Scholars based upon his or her grades, work ethic, and demonstrated care and concern for others in the school community and beyond. Zoe and Mag-Guyda were two of approximately 180 students from across the Greater Boston area that were selected for this program.

“We are very proud of Zoe and Mag-Guyda and extremely grateful to the Catholic Schools Foundation and Mr. Peter Lynch for their support of St. Charles School and Catholic education in general” said Mrs. Cara Blanchette, St. Charles School Principal.
Mr. Lynch, known for his successful career as a money manager at Fidelity Investments, is a longtime supporter of Boston’s Catholic Schools and serves as Chairman Emeritus for the CSF. The Peter Lynch (PL) Scholars Program was established in 2010 to honor Mr. Lynch’s involvement with the Catholic Schools Foundation/Inner-City Scholarship Fund. Last year, the CSF distributed approximately 4,000 scholarships to students, totaling more than $7.1 million in tuition support.
