Famous Person Dress Up Day

Recently the 5th grade students at St. Charles School participated in “Famous Person Dress Up Day.”  In March, each student was randomly assigned the biography of a notable famous person. They were asked to read the book, create a poster display and prepare a costume The 5th graders then wrote speeches, which they memorized and practiced before the big day. On “Dress Up Day”  the students dressed as their famous person and displayed their posters and several props that helped to supplement their speeches. Parents, students, and teachers were invited to the gymnasium to tour the displays and learn about the people from our past. We are proud of our students for all their hard work in preparing for this special history assignment and SCS 5th grade tradition!
