At St. Charles School, we understand that every child learns in his or her own way, and at different rates. Faculty at St. Charles School practice differentiated instruction. This technique allows students to master learning objectives based upon their own unique profile and level of readiness. Teachers use in-class formal and information assessments, as well as the MAP assessment (which is given three times annually) to inform their instructional approach. Our curriculum is mapped to ensure we have a plan in place to be educating at or above the Common Core Standards. As our Mission states: “Our strong Catholic education encourages our children to live their faith with high moral standards.”

The Joseph Ford Computer Lab is used on a daily basis by our technology teacher and students in grades K-8. The students are learning a variety of skills such as keyboarding and the Google Suite for Education. In addition to weekly computer classes the students work in the lab alongside their classroom teachers on a regular basis.
Our school is powered by Google! Google Chromebook stations are found in all K-5 classrooms. On the upper school level, each student has an assigned Chromebook. The use of this Chromebook is included in the cost of tuition. Students will graduated from St. Charles having mastered the use of Google Apps for Education including docs, sheets, slides and forms.

Teachers of all grade levels use Mimio equipment such as Mimio IX, MimioVote, and Mimio View (www.mimio.com) within their classrooms. Mimio allows for in-class interactive whiteboard learning.

Teachers and staff use RenWeb to house all student data. Progress reports and report cards are generated using RenWeb. RenWeb also allows St. Charles families access to a Parent Portal for access to important announcements and documents.
